Identified as an Amazon Rising Star, British author and screenwriter Adam Hamdy works with studios and production companies on both sides of the Atlantic. He is the author of the Pendulum trilogy, a series of conspiracy thriller novels. James Patterson describes Pendulum as ‘one of the best thrillers of the year’. Pendulum was a finalist for the Glass Bell Award for contemporary fiction and was selected for the BBC Radio 2 Book Club.
Prior to embarking on his writing career, Adam was a strategy consultant and advised global businesses in the medical systems, robotics, technology and financial services sectors. Adam has a degree in Law from Oxford University and a degree in Philosophy from the University of London. He is a seasoned skier, rock climber, CPSA marksman, and is a member of the Crime Writers Association, the International Thriller Writers Organisation, and the Society of Authors.
Alex is a criminal barrister. His memoir, Defending the Guilty, was Book of the Week on Radio 4, and shortlisted for the CWA Gold Dagger for Non-Fiction. Defending the Guilty will appear as a comedy adaptation on BBC2 in 2019. Alex is currently writing for the first series of a new detective show set in Mallorca, also for the BBC. He has edited three ebooks of stories taken from Penguin's Famous Trials series: Lucky Escapes, Thrill-Killers, and Unwanted Spouses. He's written for the Financial Times, the Independent, the New Statesman, From Our Own Correspondent, and a legal column for Prospect.
